Fall Programs and Announcements

Dear Live-Love-Writers,

A year has gone by since our last major operation, and I personally take all the blame. Severe illnesses aside, I am now better and back, and so are our fall programs!

New Programs


Whose Chapter Is It, Anyway?

Our first new addition to the lineup! Participants will be given a prompt written by staff and take turns writing the next chapter of the story. The final completed novel will be published in The Quotebook, and writers will earn voted titles. This is meant to be a strong community effort, so hopefully we'll get to know each other very well. Registration for this program is now open here and will end on October 31st. The length of time devoted to each story depends on how many writers sign up, but our current hopeful estimate is a month or two. Find more details in the forum.


Dodecathlon

One contest? Bring it on. A tournament? Even better! A year long competition of monthly contests, with each contest's winners competing in the last month for a grand prize? Mind blown! I hope? Find more details in the forum. The current contest ends on November 8th.

Continuing Programs


The Quotebook

Our magazine that never quite got started is now under production. A pilot issue is slated for release on deviantART at the end of October; subsequent issues will be released on a quarterly basis. To submit your piece for consideration, please link us in a comment on the Quotebook forum. All questions and comments should be directed to the forum as well. We ask that you do not send us notes unless the matter is of a personal nature as it clogs our inbox and makes it difficult to respond to you.


Synergy

Synergy, our pet partner project, is back on track. The October and November sign up session has been extended to the 23rd. Veteran Synergists who have kept up their partner critique work will be awarded bonuses on the 25th. Partner lists will be posted on the 25th. Socratic Circle

Our weekend chatroom will meet every Saturday night. Please see the Socratic Circle forum to check each week's Circle meeting times.


The Fount

Due to the inexplicable amount of effort it takes to produce Fount lists, updates will be released on the first of each month. To submit your favorite books, comic books, video games, movies, or any other work of fiction for recommendation, please comment on the Fount forum.


Writing Prompt

I solemnly swear that the prompt shall be updated every ten days. The new prompt has been released, so if you're looking to vent some creative steam, check it out!
