Last Week's Writing Prompt
Respond to the following theme:
Blue LiesThe sunken world breathed out into the night sky as it floated through the air on wings of devil’s hearts. The flames of the Earth opened up and closed down like the dragon they now saw. The fire spoke in a roaring rate of ten thousand monsters breathing their battle cry. The flames whispered blue.
Blue of water.
Blue of fire.
Blue of tears.
Blue of lies.
The blue lied to me.
Tears around the face. The last to reach footing on the shallow world they now revolved around and away the other from. The legs soaked in flames mellow. Eyes of hardened iron breathed and echoed in the narrow valley.
The last of the world was left behind in the blue flame.
Come now, child it won’t hurt you.
Why do you say that? I see no reason for it not to.
Chuckles. My, my. Now, aren’t you a smart little thing?
Oh, I really don’t think so.
You don’t? Oh well, no matter, you are still liked just the same.
Come, child, we need to heal those scars of yours.
BlueThe sea beneath a cloudy sky,
is not blue.
A grey reflection there of,
a nimbus clogged
When our eyes met,
in that moment when
I realise I am yours.
It elates me
to the highest degree,
when I see you happy.
As your boyfriend it means
I am giving you all you need.
I don't wonder if you feel the same
in this moment,
through the stratosphere
of your mind,
I see the ocean
of your heart.
And it is blue.
I wish I could write road signs.
WARNING: Blue skies fall on strangers
Dont eat grass: for cows only
Next mile: A tick on you odometer
Buckle your safety belt: Its so lonely
Numbers lose relevance: next 132,000 miles

Blue (Writing Prompt)I yelled at you
'til I turned blue,
You laughed and said,
"I love you too."
Letter to BlueDear Blue,
In my deepest darkest sadness
I feel close to you
Like the sky to the sea
You’re reflected in me
When anger strikes
It’s something to admire
A blue blaze in my heart
The hottest of fire
Then there is happiness
Bright in my mind
Like a Bluebird’s song
Encouraging me to sing along
You dazzle and sparkle
It’s a sight to see
Thank you Blue
